Tam Coc Boat Ride or Trang An Boat Tour?
Depending on the season, we recommend one of Ninh Binh's two most famous boat experiences:
Tam Coc Boat Ride (Best from March to May and October to December)
Often referred to as "Halong Bay on Land," Tam Coc offers a scenic boat journey along the Ngo Dong River, passing through rice fields, limestone mountains, and natural caves.

March to May: The rice fields are at their most beautiful, creating Ninh Binh's iconic landscape.

October to December: Water lilies bloom along parts of the river, adding another layer of charm to the scenery.

Trang An Boat Tour (Recommended Year-Round)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Trang An is famous for its spectacular limestone karsts, tranquil waterways, hidden valleys, and impressive cave system. The boat route takes you through a series of caves and spiritual sites surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.

Mua Cave (Hang Mua)
Climb nearly 500 stone steps to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain for one of the most spectacular panoramic views in Ninh Binh. From the top, enjoy sweeping views of rivers, rice fields, and limestone peaks stretching across the landscape.
Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours
Note: The 500-step climb to the summit is not recommended for seniors or travelers with high blood pressure, especially on hot days. As an alternative, you may enjoy a cycling tour through the surrounding countryside. This private tour is flexible and can be tailored to your fitness level and preferences. Simply let your guide know how much hiking you would like to do, and the itinerary can be adjusted accordingly.
