🧵 A Journey of Craft, Nature & Viewpoints: Silk Weaving Village – Trang An – Mua Cave
Dear Amazing Traveler,
Welcome to Ninh Binh — where traditional craftsmanship, natural beauty, and breathtaking viewpoints come together in one unforgettable journey! This one-day itinerary is perfect for travelers who love authentic local culture, peaceful nature, and a bit of adventure.
1. Silk Weaving Village (Nam Dinh – now part of Ninh Binh Province)
Our day begins at the Silk Weaving Village, about 50 km from Tam Coc boat station. This peaceful village lies in the former Nam Dinh province — a land long known as one of northern Vietnam’s cultural and handicraft centers. Nam Dinh is famous for its traditional villages that preserve centuries-old crafts such as silk weaving, wood carving, and fish sauce making.
Here, you’ll step into the world of silk artisans — watching how shimmering threads are spun from silkworm cocoons, dyed in natural colors, and woven into soft, luxurious fabric. The rhythmic sound of looms fills the air as skilled weavers bring life to every piece. It’s not just fabric — it’s art, culture, and the beauty of patience passed down through generations.
3. Mua Cave Viewpoint

Mua Cave Viewpoint
We’ll end our day with a visit to Mua Cave (Hang Múa), one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Ninh Binh. Climb nearly 500 stone steps that wind up the limestone mountain, and you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of Tam Coc’s rice fields and winding rivers below. It’s the perfect spot to capture the beauty of Ninh Binh as the sun casts its golden glow over the valley — a view that stays in your heart long after you leave.
