1. Dong Dao Pineapple Orchard

First, visit the Dong Dao Pineapple Orchard on the way to Cuc Phuong National Park for a short visit. Rows of pineapple plants stretch along both sides of the road, offering a unique glimpse into local farming life. Learn about the pineapple cultivation process, and if you visit during the harvest season, you may even have the chance to sample freshly picked pineapple—juicy, sweet, and full of flavor.

2. Cuc Phuong National Park - ENDANGERED PRIMATE RESCUE CENTRE and Turtle Conservation Center

Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s oldest national park, is a haven of rich biodiversity, ancient trees, and lush tropical forest. Wander along peaceful nature trails and, from late April to May, enjoy the spectacular butterfly season when thousands of colorful butterflies fill the forest.

Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and Turtle Conservation Center to learn about Vietnam’s rare and endangered wildlife. For a deeper adventure, embark on a guided 4 km jungle trek through shaded forest trails, with opportunities to discover native plants and spot wildlife along the way.

3. VAN LONG WETLAND BOAT

Take a 1.5-hour sampan boat ride through Van Long Nature Reserve, one of the largest wetlands in the Red River Delta and one of Ninh Binh’s most peaceful natural attractions.

Known for its stunning limestone mountains, calm waterways, and rich biodiversity, Van Long offers a more authentic and tranquil experience away from the crowds of Trang An and Tam Coc. Keep an eye out for Delacour’s langurs, one of the world’s most endangered primate species, which can sometimes be spotted on the limestone cliffs. The reserve is also an excellent destination for birdwatchers, with storks, herons, and many other bird species living in the wetlands.

Opened to visitors in 1998, Van Long remains a less-touristy and affordable alternative for those looking to enjoy Ninh Binh’s spectacular scenery in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

8:30 AM – Hotel pick-up in Ninh Binh City by our guide and driver. (Surcharge may apply for locations outside Ninh Binh City, Tam Coc, Hang Mua or Trang An.)
9:00 AM – Visit a local pineapple orchard and discover traditional farming life in the Ninh Binh countryside.
10:00 AM – Visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center & Turtle Conservation Center and learn about conservation efforts to protect Vietnam’s rare wildlife.
12:00 PM – Enjoy a delicious local lunch at a peaceful restaurant near the jungle.
1:00 PM – Start a 4-km jungle trekking adventure through the lush forest of Cuc Phuong National Park.
3:00 PM – Take a relaxing 1.5-hour sampan boat ride through Van Long Nature Reserve, surrounded by limestone mountains and peaceful wetlands.

A: Yes, you can book a private car without a tour guide if you skip the trekking. However, if you would like to join the 4-km jungle trek, a tour guide is required. Please note that there is no Wi-Fi or mobile phone signal in most areas of Cuc Phuong National Park.

Q: How many people can share a Van Long Wetland boat?
A: For foreign visitors, each boat is limited to 2 adults.

Q: What kind of car do you use?
A: We use modern, clean, air-conditioned electric cars or SUVs, with models from 2025. Our vehicles are comfortable and well-maintained for a full day of travel.

Q: How do we pay?
A: You can pay by Vietnamese Dong (VND), international bank transfer through OnePay - a secure payment link accepting Visa, Mastercard, and other major credit and debit cards. Cash is also convenient in Vietnam and helps avoid credit card fees. If you need to stop at an ATM, simply ask your driver.

Q: Can we change the plan during the day?

A: Yes. This is a private and flexible tour, so you can adjust the itinerary during the day. Want to spend more time at Mua Cave or skip Hoa Lu? Just let us know. Any additional entrance tickets or extra transfers, such as to Cuc Phuong National Park, will be subject to an additional fee.

Q: Can we leave our luggage in the car?

A: Yes. If you are traveling from Hanoi to Ninh Binh or Ninh Binh to Hanoi, you can leave your luggage safely in the vehicle while exploring the attractions.

Q: What if it rains?

A: The tour can usually continue in light rain. The misty mountains of Ninh Binh can be especially beautiful in rainy weather. If there is heavy rain, your driver and guide can adjust the schedule to make the day more comfortable.

Q: Do we need to pay a deposit?
A: Yes, we require a 20% deposit of the total booking price to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance can be paid before or on the tour day.
